MOONSPOON SALOON, COPENHAGEN FUN

I went to an amazing Danish Christmas party this past weekend, whereupon deep in conversation with a stylish Dane over cups of gløgg, we completely agreed Henrik Vibskov is a genius. While labels like Staerk, Ivan Grundahl and Noir have transformed Copenhagen into a fashion hothouse for perfect draping, clean lines and cultured minimalism, Vibskov is the unpredictable one-eyed jack showing everything from outlandish men’s tights to a simple double lapel black cardigan. Carrying on the Danish torch for sometimes crazy, sometimes breathtaking fashion, is the art and fashion collective Moonspoon Saloon. Created by collaborators Sara Sachs, Tal R., Noam Griegst and Melanie Buchhav, Moonspoon debuted an anything-goes, 14-piece collection of patchwork onesies, ballooning parkas and artfully decorated tops for Spring/Summer 2009.
